How the region has always used honey

1 min read

Across the Arabian Peninsula, honey has traditionally lived in two places: the hospitality shelf and the kitchen. Rare grades are reserved for honoured guests and gifting; the everyday jar sits within reach of tea, bread and breakfast.

A small spoonful is plenty, and warm — never boiling — water or tea is a familiar way to stir it in. These are customs and habits, shared here as heritage. Honey is a food, and we make no medical claims about it.

Key points

  • Rare grades for guests and gifting; everyday jars for the table.
  • Stir into warm, not boiling, liquids.
  • Tradition, not medicine — honey is a food.
