Our story begins not in a factory or boardroom, but in the ancient valleys of Wadi Do’an, Yemen Hadhramout — a place of breathtaking valleys, echoing canyons , and wild Sidr (Ziziphus) trees older than memory.
This is where our father and grandfather were born and raised, where they lived simple lives shaped by the land, by tradition, and by honey. Not just any honey — but Sidr honey, drawn from the nectar of the revered Sidr tree, known for centuries for its healing properties and unmatched purity.
For generations, this honey was more than food. It was medicine, it was trade, it was a symbol of hospitality and honor. It was harvested by hand with care, passed from father to son, respected like a living gift from the earth.
Now, living in Canada, we carry that legacy with us.
We started Sidra Honey not as a business, but as a bridge — between the place we come from and the people we serve today. We want to share more than just a jar of honey. We want to share a piece of our heritage, a tradition that runs in our blood, a story that spans centuries
When you open a jar of our honey, you’re tasting the land our ancestors walked and the sacred trees they grew up under. You’re supporting to sustain the livelihoods of Yemeni families who still practice beekeeping the traditional way who still carry out this ancient craft, untouched by industrial shortcuts.
You’re not just buying honey — you’re preserving a tradition, supporting the Yemeni people, and connecting with our heritage .
