Origin

Duaani sidr honey begins in the valleys of Duaan in Yemen, where sidr trees grow wild in a landscape that has hardly changed for centuries. The sidr tree blooms for a short season each year, and the bees that gather from those blossoms make a honey unlike any other — darker, richer and more aromatic than almost anything else on the market.

The harvest window is short and the terrain is demanding, which is why genuine Duaani sidr is scarce. Each batch is gathered by experienced beekeepers, handled gently, and sealed in glass without blending — the honey that reaches you is the honey that left the valley.

Quality

Grade A is the top of our grading. It reflects the source, the harvest, and the appearance of the honey in the jar — deep, uniform colour, a dense texture, and the pronounced aroma sidr is known for.

Single-origin, raw and unfiltered, and never blended. It may crystallise over time, which is a natural sign of unprocessed honey, not a fault.

Context

Across the Arabian Peninsula, sidr honey has traditionally been reserved for honoured guests and valued moments — it appears in hospitality, gifting, and seasonal traditions rather than on an everyday breakfast table.

Sidr honey is a prized honey of the region, brought out for honoured guests and shared at the table with tea.

Shared as general context and heritage. Honey is a food, and we make no medical claims.

Care

Serving

  • Enjoy it straight from the spoon to taste it fully, or stirred into warm (not boiling) water or tea.
  • A small spoonful is plenty; its richness means a little goes a long way.

Storage

  • Keep the jar sealed at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. No refrigeration needed.
  • Natural crystallisation may appear over time. If you prefer it liquid, place the jar in warm water.

Check first

  • Infants under 1 year old — honey is not suitable for them.
  • If you live with diabetes, check with your doctor first.
  • If you have a bee-product or pollen allergy, check with your doctor first.

FAQ

Is this honey really from Yemen?

Yes. Duaani Sidr Honey is imported from the valleys of Duaan in Yemen. We source directly and can share the details of each batch's journey on request.

What does “Grade A” mean?

It is our own honest grading of the batch: source, harvest, colour, texture and aroma. Grade A is the top of the scale we use.

Why is the price what it is?

Because of what it is: a scarce, single-origin harvest from a short blooming season, sourced directly and never blended. You are paying for the honey, not the marketing.

My honey crystallised. Is that a problem?

No — crystallisation is natural for raw, unfiltered honey and depends on temperature and composition. Warm the jar gently in water if you prefer it liquid.

How do I order?

Choose a size and press Order on WhatsApp. A message opens with the honey and size filled in, and we confirm your order, payment and delivery with you directly.

Know what is in the jar

Every batch is documented. Batch details and test documents are available on request, so you can see where your honey came from before you buy.
